Facts

I greatly dislike chewing noises.

And in the end, It’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.
Profile
I love going on adventures, whether it be road trips, trying new restaurants or starting a new book. I spend my time hunting for treasures in antique and second-hand stores, while wondering about an item’s history and past story. I support my local community through membership on a number of boards, as well as participating in and attending community events. Depending on the season, I can usually be found cheering on my own children from the sidelines or audience of their various extra-curricular activities.
Education
Grand Valley State University, Master of Social Work
1999-2002
University of Michigan, Bachelor of Arts, Communication Studies
1994-1998
Experience
Most of my post-graduate degree experience has been working with children and families in a clinical capacity. I was employed at Bethany Christian Services and Allegan County Michigan Works for a number of years prior to taking a position at the Allegan County Health Department as social worker and program coordinator for the Maternal Infant Health Program. It is there I began my work in Infant Mental Health, transferring to Allegan County Community Mental Health in 2013. I worked as an intake clinician providing assessment for consumers of all ages prior to moving on to the children’s team and focusing my work on children 0-8 years of age.
