I grew up in the UP (Proud Yooper!)
I have chronic hiccups (and have had them for about 10 years)
My first car was a mint green '02 Chevy Blazer named Barb
“You will never regret being kind.”
I was born and raised in the UP. My husband and I moved down to Grand Rapids after we got married in 2016. We have one daughter, Raegan Paige, and our two fur babies, Nelson Todd, a golden retriever, and Roger Dean, a wild hound mix. We are both very involved in our church and love the community we’ve been given because of it. Family is hugely important to me, and a lot of our spare weekends are spent traveling to and from the UP to visit them. My favorite place on earth is Comerica Park to catch a Detriot Tigers baseball game! Oh, and I have a lot of house plants…green is my favorite color.
I am currently attending GVSU for my Master’s in Public Health; my biggest goal in public health is to see everyone with the same access to quality and affordable healthcare and food options.

After spending most of my collegiate experience working in the various sides of physical therapy, my focus transitioned into the bigger picture: public health. With several years handling administrative and insurance work for physical therapy, I was ready to widen my horizon into mental and behavioral health, which I’ve not had much experience in prior to DE. DE was and is the perfect next step for me professionally as I continue my education into my lifetime career in public health.
