"A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying." - B.F. Skinner
I first fell in love with the science of behavior while taking a psychology course during my second year at GVSU, though I didn’t realize it until 2 years later while trying to decide on a career path. I love that my job allows me to be both technical and creative at the same time to teach our clients in a way that is both effective and fun. I love watching my clients learn and grow! I feel lucky to be part of my clients’ success, and I love to celebrate the little things.
I live with my fiancé and our two cats – I never thought I would be a cat person, but I was wrong! We love hiking, spending time at the beach, and camping, as well as spending time with our families and friends. We are also currently planning our 2022 wedding! In addition to spending time outside, we also enjoy staying in and watching movies.

Prior to working at DE, I worked as a direct care staff for an in-home CLS program that served clients with varying developmental disabilities. While there, I worked with one client and their family for over 2 years before deciding to pursue a career in ABA. I started working at DE as a behavior technician while I finished school. I worked as a behavior technician for over 3 years while I worked towards earning the BCBA credential.
