“We are all meant to shine. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” - Nelson Mandela

I was born in Texas to a military family and raised in Delaware before moving to Grand Rapids in 2009. I am a mother to 4 energetic children ages 18, 9, 8, and 6. When I am not chasing them, I enjoy knitting, painting, and binge-watching National Geographic nature documentaries, and all things Marvel.

I joined the DE team in 2019, and since then it has been my goal to continue the mission of helping ALL children reach their full potential! Who we are and what we do as an organization is all about giving children and families the tools and support they need; empowering them to be the fullest and best version of themselves. Seeing how my role supports this mission is the greatest reward!

I started my professional career in health care as a Laparoscopic Surgical Technician and Nursing Technician. After spending several years in patient care, I transitioned into more administrative roles, to include Human Services, Labor Relations, Office Management, and Human Resources. With an educational background in public health administration, I understand the importance of administrative policy and how it supports organizational service delivery and ultimately creates positive outcomes and experiences for both personnel and clients alike!
