Elena Galindo

Intake Coordinator & Office Manager

I jumped out of a plane once and can't wait to do it again.

I celebrated my birthday for the first time when I turned 19.

March Madness is my favorite time of year.

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?" - Martin Luther King Jr.

I enjoy the fact that a day at DE is never the same! The random interactions I get with the kiddos mean the most to me. I’m grateful to be surrounded by colleagues who are hard-working, kind, patient and dedicated to our clientele.  When I’m not working, my happy place could be anything from taking my dogs to the park, at a rock concert, on a nature walk, on a kayak, a road trip to a new place, exploring food truck offerings, meditating, listening to a true crime podcast, or playing the piano.
Connection is everything to me. I practice mindfulness and appreciate the little things. I am passionate about mental health awareness, human rights, animal rights and I am a proud ally to the LGBTQ community. Learning and advocating for marginalized communities is a priority.

I have worked in a variety of settings. Administrative work for a transportation company, caring for residents in a long-term care facility, an event coordinator for Battle of the Bands competitions, and maintaining my own marketing business from home.
