Developmental & Mental Health Services

Your child is unique and they deserve therapy that’s built around them. Together, let’s create space for them to grow.

When your child struggles with emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges, parents and guardians like you often find themselves at a loss. You want to help, but you’re not sure how. You see your child struggle at school, home, and in their social life but the outbursts and down moods don’t always make sense. The strategies that work for you don’t seem to make a difference for your child. And no matter how much you want to get to the root of the challenges, it feels impossible to have a deep discussion when your child can’t express their own thoughts and feelings (or doesn’t want to open up to mom and dad). That’s where many parents feel stuck. But at DE Behavioral Health, we believe you don’t have to stay powerless. You just need the right partner.

We’re a team of trained psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors specializing in child and adolescent care. We know children aren’t just mini-adults, and so we’ve built our therapeutic approach to meet them where they are. Sessions here are positive, proactive, and tailored to promote optimal development while addressing specific challenges. Our therapists foster a relationship based on playfulness, acceptance, curiosity, and empathy, creating an environment where children feel understood and valued.

Recognizing the importance of social interaction, we provide opportunities for children and adolescents to engage with peers, especially for those with significant social challenges. We also understand the need for physical movement in therapy, which is why our facilities include sensory rooms and play areas, making therapy a more enjoyable and holistic experience for your child.
