Meet the Team

Kristin Velthouse

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Education:
Grand Valley State University, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology 2009
Western Michigan University, Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis 2011

Professional Experience:
I have been working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities since high school. The majority of my experience has been creating and implementing behavioral intervention in both center based and in-home settings. Before joining DE, I worked in the public school system as a Behavior Specialist conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and writing individualized behavior plans. Some of my special interests in ABA are teaching daily living skills and toilet training. I love to see the progress that our kids make. It is so rewarding to witness them mastering new skills and see how it impacts both them and their family. I truly enjoy working with the most adorable children!

Personal Blurb:
I am married and have two boys and a dog. We love to go for walks, bike rides, play games, and enjoy the outdoors together. I also love cooking, traveling, and relaxing at our family cabin up north.
