Facts

I thought I was going to be a high school math teacher all my life until half-way through my undergrad studies.

I am wildly afraid of flying, heights and spiders.

I have studied Spanish, German and American Sign Language, though I don't consider myself fluent for any of them.

“A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake may be to stop trying.” BF Skinner

Profile

I am married to one of the most supportive men and we just celebrated our 5-year wedding anniversary. I have two beautiful daughters who are my world and whenever I am not in the office, I am spending every second with them. We enjoy taking small get aways and visiting new little towns. We love to be outside if the weather is nice, but also really enjoy our family time inside watching Disney movies or baking cookies. I joke that my hobbies including whatever my girls want to do, but I also enjoy going to the movies, baking, traveling and most recently couponing.

I believe there’s room for growth and learning with everyone. And that the biggest mistake we can make is to give up and stop trying to learn and do better. I think that in most situations we need to remain flexible and willing to adjust.

Experience

I started with DE in December 2014 as an ABA technician completely new to ABA. I had just graduated from Grand Valley and thought for sure I would be done with school. After working as an RBT for 18 months I realized my love for ABA and working with these kiddos was what I wanted to continue doing and decided to enroll in classes with Florida Institute of Technology and begin my work towards my BCaBA credential. By February 2019 I was certified a BCaBA and began taking clients onto my caseload.
