Licensed Psychologist, Director of Mental Health Services

Education:
Kalamazoo College, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, 2004
Idaho State University, Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, 2009
Idaho State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, 2012

Professional Experience:
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in both therapy and assessment. I use a blend of empirically-supported treatment approaches against the backdrop of a safe, supportive, and empowering therapeutic relationship. These approaches may include elements of cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy, and play therapy, depending on the needs and developmental level of the individual. I have specialized post-doctoral training with foster children and their families, as well as in infant and early childhood mental health. Common concerns addressed in therapy include anxiety (in its many forms), depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, impaired relationships, and reactions to stress and/or trauma. Also prevalent are social-emotional and behavioral concerns associated with neurodevelopmental differences, including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Personal Blurb:
I spend most of my spare time with family, including my two children. We love to play board games, bake, explore nature together, and tend to our menagerie of pets, including my son’s beloved backyard chickens.
