Meet the Team
Lanie Nyboer
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Education:
Bachelor’s in Psychology from Grand Valley State University 2014, BCaBA coursework through Florida Institute of Technology 2016
Professional Experience:
I started with DE in December 2014 as an ABA technician completely new to ABA. I had just graduated from Grand Valley and thought for sure I would be done with school. After working as an RBT for 18 months, I realized my love for ABA and working with these kiddos was what I wanted to continue doing and decided to enroll in classes with Florida Institute of Technology and begin my work towards my BCaBA credential. By February 2019, I was certified as a BCaBA and began taking clients onto my caseload. After almost 5 years in this role, I decided it was time, and in January of 2024, I returned to Florida Institute of Technology for my Master’s in ABA. I love what I do, and while ABA was not the pathway I thought I would take originally, I have no regrets. I also enjoy stepping into an RBT role from time to time to ensure clients are getting the services they need and to stay active in our children’s lives and services.
Personal Blurb:
I married my best friend in 2015, and I became a mom in 2018 to our first daughter and again in 2020 to our second daughter. Our family time often includes traveling, bike rides, kayaking, camping, movie nights and bonfires. I joke that my hobbies are whatever my girls want to do, but I also enjoy baking and couponing. I have studied Spanish, German, and ASL, though I don’t consider myself fluent in any of these languages. I love to learn and love to help other people learn new skills.
